| Test Procedure The test procedure consisted of bubbling air through a 29,100 ppm ammonia solution stripping ammonia gas into the air stream. This air stream was then directed into a known volume of gas absorption media. This procedure requires a constant airflow until the ammonia gas bleeds through the media, at which point the procedure terminates. The amount of time required to reach bleed through, as well as flow rates, are recorded. The Odor-Z-Way product will absorb the ammonia for 23 hours until the ammonia begins to bleed through. At this point, the Odor-Z-Way can no longer hold any additional ammonia. In order to perform tests comparing various ammonia absorbing medias, the same apparatus, procedures and end point detection were used to test equal volumes of various medias. Comparison Products Baking Soda- Odor-Z-Way was compared in an ammonia test to 150 ml. of baking soda. The baking soda only absorbed the ammonia for approximately 15 minutes. This means that the Odor-Z-Way is 95 times better than baking soda in eliminating odors and absorbing stains. Carbon- When compared in an ammonia test to 150 ml. of carbon, also referred to as Charcoal Activated Powder, Odor-Z-Way was proven to be 7 times better. The carbon only ran for 3 ½ hours until it was exhausted, compared to 23 hours with Odor-Z-Way. Natural Zeolites- Once again we took 150 ml. of natural zeolites and ran our same ammonia test on them. The natural zeolites absorbed ammonia for 14-16 hours until they could hold no more ammonia. In this case, Odor-Z-Way is still 1 ½ times better than the natural zeolites. * Remember these tests show that Odor-Z-Way is measured in times better, not percentage better! So for each one of these products each must be multiplied by larger dosages to equal the strength of what Odor-Z-Way can do alone!!! | ||
